March 6th - Meet our 2026 Build A Business Class with Sincheimer Elementary!

Twenty 4th–6th graders were selected for a four-week after-school program at Sinsheimer Elementary, continuing the success of our 2024 Build A Business Program with a philanthropic focus. Students created metal-stamped bookmarks and one-of-a-kind assemblage art inspired by books and reading genres, while learning hands-on lessons in creativity, math, revenue, cost, and profit. They will keep 30% of their earnings as seed money for future business ideas, and donate 70% to purchase books for San Luis Coastal Unified School District libraries in honor of National Reading Month. Their work will be sold at Art After Dark, where they’ll also gain real-world business experience, with a goal of raising $1,500 for local school libraries.

February 6th - Neurographic Art Demonstration

Neurographic Art is a meditative drawing method developed by Russian psychologist Pavel Piskarev in 2014, that combines art, psychology and neuroscience to help process emotions and reduce stress. It is an accessible practice that requires no artistic skill, focusing on the process of creation rather than the final result.
