Letterpress Art Workshop With Jenny K

In this special class, two people will work with me hands-on to create thier own one of a kind letterpress wall hanging. Finished art size will be approximately 12” x 12”.

I am known for the beautiful art pieces I create using vintage and antique wood letterpress letters from my many years of collecting. My collection includes many pieces from a printer in on the East Coast that specialized in colorful Carnival, Rodeo and Circus graphics – still with the colors stained into the wood. Exploring it is fun in itself!

What to Expect:  
After we tour my Studio, you will get to choose your letters from the special collection that I have put aside for my Workshops. Then, we will head into my main Studio area and work together to puzzle your piece together into the provided frame. Once you are happy with the design, we will glue them into the frame, attach hang hardware on the back and we will even sign your piece together. You will leave with a finished and ready to hang piece of art.

To prepare for this class and to make it even more special, I ask that you put a list together of up to eight words and dates that you’d like to include in your piece.

Details:
Space is limited to two people per date. It will be a full day of fun, starting at 10 am and going until 6 pm. I will provide drinks & snacks and we’ll order lunch, too.  

My Studio is in an Industrial space and can be warm/cool based on the weather. You will get dirty! Please dress casual in cloths you don’t mind getting dirty and in layers. I will provide gloves for your hands. I have a kitchen area, drinking water and a bathroom.

Workshop Cancellation Policy:
We do not issue refunds on workshop registrations. 

If you register for a workshop and later become unable to attend, we will gladly offer a credit to use toward any future event if you notify us at least 48 hours before the workshop. To cancel and request a credit, you must email us at jenny@junkgirls.com. Workshop credits are not redeemable for cash but can be used to reschedule any workshop or for merchandise in our Retail or Online Store.

We are unable to offer credits of any kind, or honor reschedule requests, with less than 48 hours advance notice. Thank you for understanding!

In the event a class is cancelled or rescheduled due to inclement weather, Instructor Illness or other Act of God, you will receive a credit to reschedule any workshop or for merchandise in our Retail or Online Store.
