It’s official! Sally Carrocino is now the Southern CA Sales Rep for The JunkGirls! |
|

YEP! We’re pretty darn excited about this… Sally Carrocino, Sales Representative for many of the biggest and best home furniture & accessory lines, has agreed to represent The JunkGirls. In fact, I am the first (and only) artist she’s represented in her over 30 year career!
Starting immediately, Sally will be managing all dealer, retailer & designer sales from San Diego to San Luis Obispo. This will enable us to focus more on the products and designs while our clients (and potential clients) are well taken care of. We will continue to participate in select shows and events plus we now have a space at Bungalow Antiques, Design & Salvage in Agoura Hills.
Sally is based in West Hollywood and you can reach her at 310-890-8610 or

Sneak-Peek before The Farm Chicks Show... |
|
We’ve been busy bees getting ready for The Farm Chicks show and I thought you’d like a sneak peak of some items we created…

I call this piece “Courage” and the quote reads: “It takes courage to grow up and become who you really are.” by E. E. Cummings. It is crafted using a foundry mold core box, a fabulous (and rare) cast iron stove finial from, we estimate, the 1920’s plus some wonderful old bits of hardware. I. love. her!

We crafted these pendant lights using one fabulous roll of old fencing wire.

The top pieces came out of some vintage farm seeding equipment. We think The Farm Chicks are going to especially love that!

Here are some neat old hand tools that I mounted into recycled bits of steel.

Vintage “H” letterpress type with the quote: “Very little is needed to make a happy life.”
We have lots more but we are going to wait to post when the show starts this weekend. Stay tuned!

Say Thank You! |
|

We have hand-punched "Thanks", "Love U", "XOX" and names of various HERBS on vintage silverware handles. The spoon and fork end of these handles have been cut off (for another project) and the sharp edge has been ground down leaving you with a wonderful, whimsical plant marker to dress up a gift box or to give tucked in with a tiny plant.
Each one is hand made, so variations are inherent. Silverware patterns are random as well since we never know what we will find.
Need something for a wedding, anniversary or other special day? Contact us, we welcome special orders!
They're up on ETSY now! http://www.etsy.com/shop/JunkGirls

We’re Moving Into Bungalow Antiques, Design & Salvage! |
|

We’re officially moving into a showroom space at Bungalow Antiques, Design & Salvage right after The Farm Chicks show (so by mid-June) and we’re pretty darn excited about that!
Our great friend (and one talented gal) Kymberley Fraser of 3 Fine Grains showroom is also in Bungalow and we’ve been very fortunate to have a number of our pieces displayed in her space. One thing led to another and the owners asked us if we’d like our own space and, well, there you go! There are a lot of really talented people at Bungalow and we are very flattered to be included. Now we'll have a space to fill with all kinds of JunkGirls fun in addition to our other clients and shows.
Bungalow is located in Agoura Hills, CA. Please check out their website for more information and be sure to Like them on Facebook.

Please meet our newest client, Old Glory Antiques Urban Home + Design! |
|

We’re pretty happy & proud to introduce our newest client, Old Glory Antiques Urban Home + Design. Holly Kuhn, the queen behind this amazing place, sought us out after reading about me on Judy Watkins Remnants of the Past blog and we became instant pals. She has since purchased numerous pieces of my art and will be featuring it in her store as well as at her event, the Old Glory County Fair, which is Denver’s premier antique show, June 18 & 19th.

Old Glory Antiques Urban Home + Design offers an ever-changing collection of quality antiques, home accessories, and unique gift items. This beautiful shop, always warm and inviting, presents a fresh mix of old and new combined in unexpected ways. While ever-changing vignettes have become a trademark of Old Glory, there are certain things you will find here on every visit: the uncommon, the unexpected, the beautiful. What I like the most is the way she incorporates the urban feel into what she does.
Her shop is located in beautiful Centennial, CO. And besides having such wonderful stuff, she is just a great person!
Take a minute to check out her website (especially her Gallery) and to Like on Facebook.
