Antique Vellum Book Giveaway with Willow Decor & 3 Fine Grains!

I wanted to share an awesome blog post by Willow Décor about our friend, Kymberely Fraser of 3 Fine Grains. Kym is selling an amazing collection of Antique Vellum Books for a famous actor client who was the largest collector of Antique Vellum in the United States and wants her help in finding the perfect homes for them. Is it a great article and really teaches the value and rarity of them.

We were lucky enough to be able to see these books in person and I have to tell you, it was just awe inspiring and something I will never forget.

Now here’s the fun part: Kym has offered an amazing book dated 1626 from Venice, Italy, valued at $600 as a giveaway to one lucky winner! To enter, visit Kym’s online store, 3 Fine Grains, choose another item that makes your heart sing and then go back to the Willow Décor blog and leave a comment. Then, for a second chance to win, be subscriber or follower of Willow Décor (you can sign up in the right column of her blog).

The winners will be announced this Sunday, the 11th so be sure to do it quickly. Good Luck!

Jenny K Lighting Now Available at 3 Fine Grains in Bungalow Antiques in Agoura Hills

As many of you know, I’ve been branching out into the wonderful world of lighting and am absolutely hooked! My good friend Alan and I have been busy crafting up some fun stuff and I am so excited (and proud) to be able to install some new pieces in Kymberley Fraser’s space at Bungalow in Agoura Hills. Kym is a wonderfully talented gal and if you haven’t had a chance yet, please take a look at her amazing work at www.3finegrains.com

Take a look at the results of yesterday's installation:

We installed 5 of my caged pendants over my Black Dot foundry mold table, which looks so cool with Kym’s beautiful grain sack chairs and glass pieces. I also love the vintage organ flutes on the back wall. I created the pendants using vintage industrial light safety cages, porcelain sockets, vintage inspired Edison light bulbs as well as cloth covered lamp wire.

Here’s a close up of those beauties:

A match made in heaven: Kym had this fabulous hand forged cast iron lamp base which we used as the stand for one of my caged pendants with twisted lamp wire. I must say I was tempted to bring it back home with me…

I love the look of this galvanized piece, which I wired with a vintage porcelain socket, foundry mold and vintage inspired Edison light bulb. The wonderful red/yellow glow it casts is just fabulous!

Hot off the press: Two New Foundry Mold Tables

Here are a couple new tables I made using foundry molds and vintage cast iron table bases. It’s hard for me to choose which one is my favorite!

"Black Dot Table"

The “black dot” table’s glass measures 54” across and seats four comfortably. The base is cast iron and came out of an old factory.

Here's a side angle shot.

"Foundry Wheel Table"

I used a wheel foundry mold for this guy. His glass measures 30" across. Look at the color in the laminated wood!

I love the base too: it is an old industrial “Karlo” base that rises up to 40”.
